PTFA
The Committee Team of the PTFA at SKPS would like to welcome you to our webpage.
We are a committee of parents and staff who raise money to buy necessary equipment in conjunction with the school.
The primary objective of the PTFA is to advance the education of the pupils in the school, in particular by:
- Raising money to buy equipment for the benefit of all the children and staff at Skinners' Kent Primary School.
- Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
We aim to do this through the annual Christmas and Summer Fairs plus other events carried out throughout the academic year. In addition to these events, the school has a page set up on the Easyfundraising website. This allows the school to collect a percentage of your total online shopping from anyone who is part of the school community, which means that parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles as well as friends and other care givers can raise money whilst shopping! Please visit www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/skinnerskentps to take you to our direct fundraising page.
Recent PTFA supported purchases have included a portable sound system, a clock for the main hall and parasols for extra shade in the playground, as well as a contribution towards the purchase and installation of a trim trail for all pupils to use.
We always welcome help in planning events, whether it be half an hour with preparation or help on the day. Every contribution of time helps. In this age of budgetary cuts, helping the PTFA to raise funds is an opportunity for all in our school community to give our children a little bit extra at school which makes both lessons and playtime more educational AND fun!
